Want to track what's happening in the progressive blogosphere for your state? Want a "sticky" feature that will bring your audience back to your blog again and again and again?
Add the BlogWire from LeftyBlogs.com to your site.
It's just one single line of HTML that displays the latest 15-30 headlines from your state's liberal blogs.
How often is it updated?
Every 20 minutes.
Can I control how it looks?
Yes, you have complete design control via CSS. We'll even show you how. You also can control the timezone that's displayed - and how many headlines it shows. Here's the instructions for adjust the stylesheet.
Is it just the local headlines?
Nope, the BlogWire will display all headlines from the lefty blogs in your state. (The famous 'combined' listing.)
What does it cost?
Nothing. Absolutely free. And it'll stay that way.
How are you paying for the bandwidth?
Honestly, we're not sure. But, we're planning on putting a single sponsor link in the feed. It'll be short (less than 100 characters) and it'll be targeted at progressive political folks. No cell phone ads here.
Can I see a sample?
Sure. We've deployed it at BlueOregon, the Blue Mass. Group, the Cass County Indiana Democrats, Young Philly Politics, Change NJ, and about 50 more blogs.
You can also see your own state's feed in about two seconds; just get started.
How do I get started?
That's easy. Start by telling us which state feed you want:

I'm in NH.
Every time I come here some post from election day 2004 is at the top of the NH list.
Please fix the bug.

The Blogwire would be even neater if your logo linked to the state list the Blogwire references instead of the general site.

Interesting thought.
On the other hand, reasonable folks might assume that a link that looks identical from blog to blog would link to the same place, too. Maybe there's a way around it (state outline graphic?)
I'll ponder that.

Why am I getting an error message that says the Leftyblogs.com is "no longer valid sign up and try again?"

When I post, my headlines bleed into the post; and when other bloggers use your rolling blog wire, there is no headline; it simply states "untitled."
Help!

I just discovered you on a related web site Young Philly Politics. This is great. I was able to link Lefty Blogs on my blog, and I was also able link the Blog Wire. For this old sixties peacenik, I FEEL GOOD. Thank you.

I hit the wrong key so this might be duplicate:
Concerned with lack of latest post "TV Debates Now Also Streaming".
Posted 11:10 AM EDT on 10/27/2006. Checked both FL local and all, but no show.
I fear my switch to FeedBurner might be the culprit. I notice a delay on my FF live bookmark but nothing near this long.
I'm trying to be current, so I will do all possible from my end to speed this process up.
Thanks,
Jim

Since Jim Nussle was soundly defeated in Iowa, I haven't been posting as much on my blog, "Nussle and Flow," which is on the Iowa lefty blogwire. I've created a new blog, "Political Fallout" which exposes and critiques non-lefty candidates and issues.
I've submitted my new site to LeftyBlogs, but it hasn't been processed yet. My concern is that, having switched to blogger's beta format with the new blog, you may be having trouble processing my request to add my blog to Iowa's blogroll. I realize you are extremely busy, I was just wondering whether or not their was a technical glitch. If there's any way you could let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
In the meantime keep up the great work. This is an invaluable resource and communication conduit.
Sincerely,
T.M. Lindsey

Still waiting for an RSS feed instead of the standard Lefty Blogs feed since I can't use it at WordPress.com

I'd love a way to put some tags on my California Blogwire code (which I haven't started yet) that would push references to my local legislators to the top of the blog list.
Any thoughts of adding that feature?

I'm loving the LeftyBlogs thing, and have been for a while. I actually think that most of my best-targeted referrals have come through LB, so thanks a bunch!
One thing: if I wanted to change my blog feed, how would I do that? I mean: I've got a new feed for my blog that I would like to use instead of the one you've been using. How would I go about changing this?

Can't get a feed at LiveJournal after switching from Blogger

Hi, folks.
Sorry to be petty, but our blog name Ablogination appears as "Abolgination" on the wire. Perhaps it's something we typoed long ago. I just don't know. Just noticed it.
If possible to fix it please do.
Many Thanks and keep up the good work. ;)
