Help us improve the local content filter

Finally!

As LeftyBlogs fans know, our system separates out the local content and highlights it on each state's home page.

But the system is far from perfect. We've got about 5000 keywords already tagged, but there's many, many more. Sometimes a keyword will pop up suddenly (like when that AP reporter got fired in Vermont) and sometimes we've just missed one (like many candidates in many campaigns.)

Anyway, we're using the power of the LeftyBlogs community to fix the system super-fast.

Add keywords to the LeftyBlogs local content filter here.

Onward!

Keep 'em coming folks. Just approved a huge batch of 'em -- and it should help a lot.

One person asked, "Do you have a list of the State Reps and candidates you have on file currently?"

The answer: None, or almost none. Start adding away!

We had a server glitch late last night - and lost a few keywords that were submitted over the weekend (less than a dozen.) So, if you submitted some keywords, try resubmitting them again -- the system will tell you if we got 'em or if we've lost 'em. Thanks!

Hello. My blog Okie Funk: Notes From The Outback is helping to organize a protest against George Bush when he comes May 6 to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. My blog has been around for a long time, and I write for the local alternative publication, Oklahoma Gazette, in Oklahoma City. For some reason, Lefty Blogs has dropped my blog. I have tried to contact people here, but I get no response. Here is my email khochenauer@ucok.edu. I am a professor at the University of Central Okahoma. Please contact me if you are interested in protesting.

Hi!

I''m pretty new to leftyblogs and I was wondering if there's a list somewhere of the keywords for Florida already. I'm not seeing it,but I could be blind. I'd just hate to add a keyword and have it already be there.

Not to worry. It'll tell you if you try. Fire at will!

I hesitate to mention this, but I think you're being scammed by a RIGHT-WING, CONSERVATIVE blog that is masquerading as a "lefty" blog.

It's known as "oblog" and here is the url --
http://oblog.blogs.com/oblog/

Note that a few days ago he mentions he's voting for Katherina Harris 'no matter what.' That's the third reference I've seen to his expressed support for categorically right-wing Florida politicians.

he also links to Technorati, not you.

I've got a question. I've posted some video and audio of the Trans Texas Corridor meetings that are being held right now in Texas that are part of a plan to take people's land for a private corporation owned by a foreign country. The posts don't show up on the front page, and they also don't show up on the Texas Local page, but on all posts. I've seen a number of people who have said that this issue doesn't get enough attention and it IS a local issue, why aren't those posts on the local page?
