My apologies. OK, not really.
I just got back home from two weeks in Italy. Great wine, great food, great art, great cities.
But now there are over 100 blogs awaiting approval for inclusion in LeftyBlogs.
As you know, every blog is manually approved - so it's going to take some time. We're still a one-person all-volunteer labor of love. Hang in there.
Thanks for understanding....

Just want to comment you for doing this site. One person is all? Really? That's amazing to me (but what do I know?). Thanks anyway.

Keep up the good work! Your pro-active attention to detail has created a wondeful and high profile resource.

You rejected my blog back on May 11. I think you'll find that since that time, the blog has been quite busy. 22 posts in May, 25 in June, and mostly about local politics. I am averaging around 100 readers per day. Hope you can consider my blog when you recover from your holiday.

Hey Lefty's!
My comedy group Cynically Tested just made and posted a George W. Bush/Republican Spoof called "Sponsor a Missile" and are hoping as many people will see it as possible, we feel it's important in all fields even comedy to keep bringing up the the issues of the Iraq war. So check it out and if you like it please spread the word. At the very least I hope we can entertain your staff at Lefty Blogs.
Thanks,
Dan

I've moved my blog (Callahan's Cleveland Diary, on your Ohio blogroll) to a new domain and WordPress site, in part because the old one wasn't feeding here -- a symptom of wider feed problems.
So I just submitted it here as a new Ohio blog, since I don't see a way to change the old entry.

I hope you'll reconsider my blog, I've been at it a little while longer, and I think the content and look is better. The Georgia lefty blogosphere seems to lean a little to the right to me, it needs a little diversity.

I was on lefty blogs for awhile but was removed. I'm not sure why, but it has grown quite a bit in popularity. It receives at least 100 hits a day and has come along quite nicely. I resubmitted but the message said "we will re-evaluate in a few months". It has been a few months, so I wanted a chance at re-evaluation.
Thanks!

Hi Kari -
Progressive Majority Wisconsin just launched a website with a blog dedicated entirely to state political issues.
Our site has yet to be approved but we'd love to be able to expand our reach and crosslink to other sites with the blogwire soon. Is there anything we can do to help fascilitate the approval process?
Posted by Raj on August 14, 2006 01:07 PM
Kari
My blog posts are not appearing on the local headlines. They sometimes appear on the blogwire.
Thanks

Kari, we hope to get approval! We have linked to your site since the very beginning and are counting down the days to have more power from leftyblogs so that we can generate steam in the Cincinnati Media Market. If there is a separate spot we can petition for a link, please let us know.

Well congrats on the vacation. You're doing a great job with this, btw. Together we can work to see that the right wingers get what is coming to them in November -- unemployment.

Hi there. :) I have gone in and added archived posts and I have been writing more on my blog. I have a diary on the blog roll now bc I x posted it on a blog rolled blog. I was just wondering if you had any suggestions on what I can do to be added to leftyblogs. Thanks for your help and advice, and keep up the great work here.

Just wondering where my request for addition to the blogroll stands.
Thanks for all the great work.

I hope you get any help you need catching up on these blogs. I was told by my friend Aaron Toleos of KnowThyNeighbor.org that getting on this site is critical to getting your word out. I hope everybody got to see the successful protest put together for Liberty Sunday. This was a team effort of four websites and others all coming together, and it was very well organised. If anyone happened to catch it, I was the guy on the YouTube video right after Romney.
Thanks for listening, I hoe things go well for everyone.

Wondering if you could get us on Lefty Blogs Massachusetts. We are on there right now, but have recently changed URLs. Please change our URL! Thank you.

My community blog (http://www.liquidnixon.com) was apparently rejected and I'm curious as to why since it seems to fit the 5 criteria for inclusion perfectly. Is there any way to get some feedback on the reasoning behind the decison?

Good morning.
I have filled out another request form to be added to this blog roll. I have been writing on my own blog consistently since July, but I have been a very active member of RK and Kos for almost a year. I write every day at least once, leftyblogs has been added to my blog, and I cover all areas you require. I consistently have diaries on the roll here bc I get on the rec list on Kos or bc I am front paged on Raising Kaine, yet my own blog has still not been added.
Please email me if I have done something wrong regarding submission or if my blog is not up to par. I hate to be a pest, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why I have not been added to the roll for Virginia. I see that others have been added on 11/3/06, and I was hoping to be added before the election, seeing as I have been a volunteer for Jim Webb since March 2006. However, better late than never, and I plan on contiuing the discussion of local and state politics.
Thanks for all that you do.
Best,
PhriendlyJaime

Hi Kari,
I see someone from admin (presumably you) at your site stopped by to check out my blog yesterday (1/17/07). I know that it is new, but there is no way I am straying from the left. Please give me a heads up if I made the cut.
thanks/peace - t.g.

I was just wondering about how long it took for you to decide whether or not to add someone to your site. I only signed up yesterday, and I am new to the whole process. I was just curious. Is there an email or something that will let me know either way?
Thanks
Pam

I was wondering if you had had time to check out the Desert Beacon (NV) spin off blog yet, and if the feed was working for it -- "Blue Sage Views" The last time I checked the feed was working, but with the beta blogger I'm never quite, absolutely, totally, certain. BTW- Thanks for all the effort you've put into keeping us up to date, it really is appreciated.

Nice job, folks. Hope you'll include lostnation.tv in your listing. We have added your logo to our home page -- how long does the process generally take?

Joe

I filled out what I Think was all the necessary stuff to be added to your roll. I'm a bit confused about the rss because I didn't really see exactly what the directions described. I have been posting on Racine Dems for a few years now and last month started a regular blog on blogspot--as far as I can find I'm the only lefty blogger in the county of Racine in Wisconsin and we sorely need this type of activity here. If anyone could answer my questions about the blogger and the rss (sounds like a fable) or can direct me to other southeast WI left blogs I would deeply appreiciate it!

Hi, I know you are busy approving blogs like mine and I know it's time consuming but let me plead a case for this one.
PA Democratic politics seems to be all about Philly and Pittsburgh, which is great if you live in Philly or Pittsburgh, but those of few, we valiant few, who dare to oppose the great red-state menace here in the dreaded and long ignored "T" of Pennsylvania, need to know what our pitiful excuse of a congressman Shuster is up to.
Oh sure I could just do straight reporting but let's face it that's just not as much fun as "in off of the turnbuckle" snarky commentary. Perhaps my "over the top" attitude will inspire cooler and better funded heads to create their own blog and then there would be more than one anti-shuster blog. That's how we got rid of Satantorum (Ding, Dong the XXXXX is dead,. . . sing along, you know the words)
Neo-con hippocrite zombies like Shuster (get the idea I don't like him)need to be exposed and ridiculed for the heartless, mindless, clueless, cowardly fools that they are, any way. . .phew...please accept my blog, with all due haste.
sincerely and without snark

I know you all at leftyblogs are super busy and if I am just waiting in line I totally understand. But I've heard nothing after having submitting my blog a couple of times over the last month. I just want to make sure I've submitted things correctly.
Posted by Weston on January 22, 2008 07:47 AM
Ditto the above comments: are you adding new blogs any time soon? I signed up some time ago. Could you leave us a comment and let us know when you expect to add more blogs? In a big election year, LeftyBlogs could be an important source of info and opinion. I understand it's not easy to keep up with the workload. Thanks for your great efforts!

Please leave a comment, it is only polite.

Longtime Editor and Reporter Carlos Lopez Dzur has started a Spanish language political blog for Orange County. How exciting! López Dzur’s blog looks like the Orange Juice used to back when I started it as he is using the blogspot platform. And he calls his blog “La Naranja” or “The Orange.”
LA NARANJA
http://ocnaranja.blogspot.com/
Perfect. If you cannot read Spanish but would like to read what Dzur is writing about click here for an English language version of his new blog.
It looks like Dzur started his blog in late May. He now has put up 30 posts about a variety of subjects, including ecology and oil independence; education and dropout rates in California; selecting Senator Jim Webb as the running mate for Barack Obama; and John McCain and Latinos. Great stuff!
Here is what López Dzur has to say about his new blog:
«Welcome all Internet users to The Orange a new space for discussion on political, social and economic, of Orange County in particular. We know that problems and situations unfair and negative, once created, may reflect factors that are statewide or national. We invite visitors to give their opinions and help to raise the issues adequately.
They can do it in English or Spanish.I have added this new blog to our links. Be sure to pass the link along to your friends who prefer to read in Spanish.
