It seems we're having some sporadic technical difficulties. The symptoms are that some states are taking 8-12 hours to update. Also, there are a handful of blogs that will disappear from the index for an hour - and then come back.
We're working on it. Just more evidence that we really need to re-engineer this bad boy from the ground up.

While you're looking at that, here's what I wonder. I have a local post about Temple, Texas TTC meeting, but it is not in the local posts section. And quite often, I see where my posts, IF they are on the local page, show the text but if they are in all posts, they only show the title. Why is that?

Update: All is well
But here's the crappy thing -- I didn't actually get a chance to work on it today. LeftyBlogs just fixed itself.
Sometimes, I really do feel like I've created a Frankenstein's monster with a mind of its own!

Is that what is going on with Kos? If you look at the recent Kos Diaries some of them are from days ago:

Lisa -- Could be... or maybe the author went through and retagged a bunch of posts.
Posted by Kari Chisholm on August 2, 2006 05:20 PM
They were all different authors, so it probably was a delayed updated. It seemed like a brief Ohio Kos invasion which is why I started looking at the posts then saw the dates.

Are we sure that Ned Lamont's campaign isn't behind these "technical difficulties"? ;-)

The last refresh for our site is hung up from 2 days ago. Any idea what would cause that. I see the site on the blog roll and most other sites get refreshed frequently....

LeftyBlogs has failed to pick up any of the four posts I did today. The first post is now 15 hours old. I noticed some Texas blogs are being picked up and others aren't. Can you help?
My feed is atom.xml

Ditto for posts not being picked up. Also I think posts that were there have disappeared.

For the last 48 hours, my posts in Virginia has not come up; and yet when I posted under The Virginia Progressive, no problem.
Help!!!

Oops, I mean post HAVE not come up.(

Update: I think I have it fixed.
This is crazy-making, but I think I got it. There was a blog in New Mexico that was causing the entire system to choke.
LeftyBlogs cycles through the states randomly on each update, so it took awhile to realize what was happening.
Anyway, I've improved our alert system to better alert us of problems.
I'm sure this won't be the last bug, but hopefully this one is squashed.

My post are once again not coming up.
The problem is not with the state, as Virginia bloggers have their posts all coming in just fine and dandy.
HELP!
Posted by Mimi Schaeffer on August 18, 2006 04:43 PM
Oops, meant my posts are not:(
Posted by Mimi Schaeffer on August 18, 2006 04:44 PM
Once again, my posts are not COMING UP! Or perhaps I should amend not coming up in their appropriate headings.
The following state content posts with distinct headlines or first sentences to indicate as such were listed under the "all other posts."
Here are the posts I am referring to:
1. "George Allen's Black Beret Moment"
2, "Senator Allen's Many Names"
3. "Both Georges Lost Their Campaign Mojo" For
the last six months or so, Sen.George
Allen...
4. "Reptilian Harris Miller Where Are You?" If
Howling Latina reads one more damn story
about George 'Macaca' Allen's outrageous
remarks last week...
5. "Friday Night Snark Galore..." Just finished
reading one of the best posts about Sen.
George Allen's 'macaca' moment.
That's six posts written within the last few days that are not listed under local content.
HELP!!!!!

Once again all of my posts have disappeared from Kansas Lefty Blogs. Is there a reason this keeps happening? Could these be restored?
Many thanks!

My blog posts have disappeared from the Ohio page.
Maybe - you have an outdated RSS feed for us? Here is the feed you need:
http://www.asohiogoes.com/index.php/index.php?site/rss_2.0/
I recently updated so maybe you have an older one here.
Thanks for checking into this,
Cindy

Disappeared is the wrong word - Actually, only new posts have stopped being listed, the older posts are still there.
Thanks

you have my blog listed in the Washington State blogroll however my blog's posts are not feeding to lefty blogs. I changed from a drupal to a wordpress site and that may have caused the problem.
the rss feed is http://www.democracyforvancouver.org/feed/
thanks

I see some of my posts are up for a short while and then gone, while others stay for length of time. Specifically, one post entitled "Corporate media control" and another entitled "PEMA funds used to pay for Beach Boys concert..." were up and gone within a few hours, but they both pertained to my local government/media. Just curious why these didn't make the cut so I can tailor similar posts in the future to make the grade.
Thanks again, Kari, for adding me to the rolls it has increased my traffic greatly.

Kari, I was forced to change to the new version of blogger. After doing so, I started adding labels to some older posts, and it looks like leftyblogs might have "thought" they were new posts. So a few old posts were published at lefty. Yet my newer posts are now not making it. In view of the fact that I added labels to over 150 old posts, I may have been filetered out as spam. I hope you keep me on your blogroll.

Hi, Kari. I know you're very busy, but I just updated my blog with the new 5.1 Drupal script and my blog updates in the Oklahoma section are messed up typographically on your site. My blog is http://okiefunk.com. Thanks for your help. Keep up the good work.
